CDF's 2006 Beat The Odds Awards Dinner Huge Success

Four Inspiring Young People — CDF Minnesota's 2006 Beat the Odds Honorees (clockwise from upper left) Katie DeSantis, Rance Palmer, Westenley Alcenat, and Pang Kou Yang all spoke about their lives, their plans for the future and what the Beat the Odds Award means to them in front of more than 600 attendees at the Minneapolis Hilton.

Beat the Odds
is an annual awards dinner honoring local high school seniors who have have overcome exceptional challenges to become personally and academically successful and provides a scholarship towards their further education. A silent auction kicks off the event every year and is the major fundraising effort of CDF Minnesota.
